University Program Board

We have spent the last year restructuring and revamping University Program Board to better fit the student experience. We are looking for any and all students who are interested in opportunities that range from leadership opportunities to finding a welcoming group on campus! • My time within UPB leadership has been amazing! It has help to shape me into the leader I am today as well as provided me with professional experience. While serving as the Director of Finance for UPB, it was my responsibility to manage all aspects of the organization's sizable budget. The transferable experiences and skills that I gained from my time with UPB greatly aided me in securing an accounting internship for this upcoming summer.

• Joining UPB was a great decision for me! Although I wasn't a UPB member before applying for a committee chair, the UPB fam has really made me feel at home and part of the group! The leadership opportunities, resources, friendships, and endless amount of event planning opportunities have allowed me to really find myself as a leader and as an ISU Redbird!

• UPB is all about the real college experience! I have created so many memories with amazing people while being a member. I never laughed so hard as I do when I'm at a UPB event or just hanging out in the office with everyone! Not only is UPB fun, but I also get real world experience. My position teaches me the ins and outs of social media, how to lead a group, carry out a marketing plan, and so much more. I would not get this experience anywhere else. I am so excited to see where UPB takes me in my future!

• As a teacher, I use organization and communication skills as well as time management and successful collaboration every day. It was during my time with the University Program Board that I was able to hone these leadership abilities. I am forever grateful for the countless opportunities I was afforded as a full board member, committee chairperson, and executive board member of UPB. Joining the University Program Board was the best decision I made as a student at ISU- applying for a leadership position was the second!

• My experience with UPB took me out of my comfort zone and improved my leadership skills while having a great time and making friends. I was able to leverage those experiences while interviewing for careers, and employers were impressed by the applicable skills I gained while being in UPB
