Must be enrolled as an Illinois State University student.
Must be in good disciplinary standing, as defined by Illinois State University policy.
Must be in good academic standing, as outlined in UPB By-Laws Article XVI.
Must obtain position through election process as outlined in UPB By-Laws Article VIII.
Must complete full UPB term of office; April/May through the following April/May.
Failure to meet requirements as outlined in the UPB Constitution and By-Laws will result in
removal from office as outlined in the UPB By-Laws Article XV.
Vacant positions shall be filled following the processes outlined in the UPB By-Laws Article XVII.
Must be available for the entire term (April to April).
Must be available for a summer General Board retreat, typically held on a weekend in late June or early July. This will be set by the Director of Membership Development around the availability of the General Board members. Executive Board candidates must also be available for a summer Executive Board retreat held prior to the General Board retreat. This retreat will be set by the President around the availability of the Executive Board members.
Must be available to check email and conduct at least some business during summer break, Thanksgiving break, winter break, and spring break. The amount of work conducted during breaks varies greatly between each General and Executive Board member.
Must be available for two full-day program proposal retreats (one to be held on a Sunday in April, and the other to be held on a Sunday in late November/early December).
