Billy Quigley

Billy Quigley was a beloved member of the 2008-2009 UPB Executive Board. Billy served as the Director of Membership before passing away as a result of a tragic car accident. Billy was incredibly dedicated to Illinois State University, the University Program Board, and all that it stands for. Billy will forever be remembered as a "Big Deal" at ISU.

Remembering Redbirds

In April of 2013, the University Program Board commemorated a program to Bill Quigley known as "Remembering Redbirds." Students, faculty, and staff wrote messages on ribbons to all fallen Redbirds and were tied onto evergreen trees.

The Billy Quigley Foundation

In order to help Billy's memory live on, the UPB is dedicated to the establishment of several awards in his name. All donations and other fundraising will be used to support the University Program Board’s continuance of the award in loving memory of Billy Quigley. To donate, please make checks out to "Illinois State University," with "University Program Board" written in the memo line.

Awards

The Billy Quigley First Year Involvement Award is an award that is granted through the University Program Board at their annual Passing of the Gavel ceremony in April. The second award is granted through the Student Involvement Center and was introduced in the Spring 2012.
